WaBridge (WABRIDGE) is a business messaging gateway operated by JOYBOY TECHNOLOGIES FZC LLC, United Arab Emirates ("Joyboy", "we", "us"). It connects authorized business applications to the official WhatsApp Business Platform. This policy covers the WaBridge service, dashboard, API, and Meta developer app named WABRIDGE.
For privacy questions, contact contact@joyboy.ae.
1. Who is responsible for your information
For Joyboy-managed deployments, Joyboy manages service account information, security, and support records. A business using WaBridge determines why it contacts its customers and how their messages are used. We process that business's conversation data to provide the service under its instructions.
If you are a customer messaging a business, you can contact that business about your information or contact us for help identifying the relevant account. Independent self-hosted deployments are controlled by their operator; Joyboy does not automatically receive their database contents.
2. Information WaBridge processes
- Accounts and access: names, email addresses, password hashes, workspace membership, roles, API-key records, and authentication sessions, which can include IP addresses and browser details.
- WhatsApp connections: business-account and phone-number identifiers, display names, connection status, authorized access tokens, and webhook configuration.
- Conversations: customer phone numbers, profile names supplied by WhatsApp, message text, templates, timestamps, replies, delivery/read status, and media identifiers or links. Depending on what a person sends, content can include images, audio, documents, contact cards, or location details.
- Groups, where Meta enables access: group identifiers, subjects, descriptions, participant identifiers, invite links, and the sender of each group message.
- Operations and support: usage totals, delivery errors, audit history, webhook delivery records, support requests, and integration diagnostics.
Only share information needed for the conversation. Businesses must obtain any permissions required to process the information they send through WaBridge.
3. How information is used
We use information to authenticate users, enforce workspace permissions, route messages, operate the inbox, deliver webhooks, manage templates and supported groups, handle booking or support workflows, show usage, diagnose failures, and protect the service against abuse. We also use relevant records to answer support and data-rights requests and meet applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell WhatsApp message content or use that content for advertising.
4. Who can receive information
Meta and WhatsApp process messages and account information through the official Business Platform under their own applicable terms and privacy policies. WaBridge is an independent Joyboy product and is not endorsed by Meta or WhatsApp.
Authorized workspace users and connected applications can access the information allowed by their roles and project permissions. A webhook endpoint configured by a workspace can receive message content, sender details, and delivery events. Businesses are responsible for selecting and securing their integrations.
Hosting and support providers may process data needed to operate Joyboy-managed infrastructure. We may disclose relevant information where required by law or necessary to investigate abuse and protect rights or security.
5. Optional AI, voice, and booking features
When a business enables an AI provider, relevant messages and conversation context are sent to its configured provider to generate replies. Enabled voice features can send audio for transcription and text for speech generation. These providers may include OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or a business-selected compatible or locally hosted service. Their processing depends on the selected provider and its terms.
Booking integrations can receive information needed for the requested booking, such as customer details, selected services, location, and appointment information. These features apply only where configured; they are not necessary for basic message routing. Ask the business which integrations it has enabled.
6. Storage, security, and retention
Joyboy-managed deployments store service records on application and database infrastructure. Data may be processed outside your country where Joyboy, Meta, hosting providers, or configured integrations operate. Contact us for information about a specific deployment.
WaBridge uses password hashing, encrypted storage for integration secrets, scoped API keys, workspace permissions, and signed webhook verification. These controls reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Message and contact records are not automatically deleted just because you uninstall an app, stop messaging, or stop using the service. They remain until removed under the operator's retention arrangements or an applicable deletion request. Operational logs and completed delivery/job history can be pruned according to deployment settings. Where backups exist, deleted information may remain in protected backups until their normal rotation, subject to applicable obligations.
7. Cookies and local storage
The WaBridge dashboard uses session cookies and security tokens for sign-in and request protection. Local storage can retain interface preferences such as the theme, and an installed app can cache application files. This Joyboy website also loads services such as Google Analytics and the Trustpilot widget; those services can receive browsing information under their own policies. Website browsing is separate from the WhatsApp conversation records described above.
8. Your choices and requests
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion, or raise an objection or other privacy concern. Email contact@joyboy.ae and identify the business or workspace involved. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity and authority, and will explain any information we must retain and why.
For step-by-step instructions, see WaBridge data deletion. To stop messages from a business, contact it or use WhatsApp's blocking tools. An opt-out stops future communication; it does not itself delete existing records.
9. Changes and contact
We will update this page and its date when this policy changes. Contact JOYBOY TECHNOLOGIES FZC LLC at contact@joyboy.ae or through Joyboy's contact page.
