JoyPOS Privacy Policy

JoyPOS ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use our mobile application, JoyPOS - Google Sheets Billing.

1. Data Collection and Usage

Local-First Data

JoyPOS is designed to be a "local-first" application. Most of your data, including inventory, product details, and transaction history, is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data unless you choose to sync it.

Google Sheets Integration

If you enable Google Sheets Sync, your data is uploaded to a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive account.

• We do not host your data on our servers.
• We do not have access to your Google account credentials; the app uses official Google Auth tokens to interact directly with the Google Sheets API.

2. Permissions

To provide its core features, JoyPOS requires the following permissions:

• CAMERA: Used solely for scanning barcodes to quickly add products to a bill or manage inventory. Images from the camera are processed in real-time and are never stored or transmitted by us.
• BLUETOOTH / BLUETOOTH_CONNECT: Used to connect to and print receipts on compatible thermal printers.
• INTERNET: Used to synchronize your data with your Google Sheets workbook (if enabled) and to check for app updates.
• STORAGE: Used to store local backups and product images on your device.

3. Third-Party Services

We use Google Sign-In and Google Sheets API to provide cloud synchronization. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle your data.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information stored on your device. However, since the app syncs with your Google Sheets, the security of that data also depends on the security of your Google account.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
